Garden of Life

Faith grows in our Garden of Life

The Garden of Life is a Congregational Community Vegetable Garden whose produce is donated to clients from the micro-pantry, friends at Faith, Morning Star Mission and the Blessing Bench (a food pantry ministry provided by First Lutheran and Santa Cruz).

The first year of the Garden has been a great success. It is hard to believe how much produce was gathered out of that small garden! We donated approximately 55 lbs. of tomatoes, 20 lbs. of zucchini, 40 lbs. of green peppers, 60 lbs. of jalapeno peppers and 65 lbs. of cucumbers, so far this year. Our season is going strong with new blossoms still being produced. As long as the weather holds out, so will the harvest!
